Just two days after we got our first peek of Thranduil in The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies, we’re getting another look — and this one’s even better. As part of Entertainment Weekly‘s 2014 Comic-Con guide, the third Hobbit film is featured in honor of its panel to be held at the annual comic and movie convention. There is an accompanying article, which reads:
STARRING: Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Evangeline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, Luke Evans, Lee Pace
DIRECTED BY: Peter Jackson
WHY WE’RE EXCITED: Jackson’s Middle-earth has its fair share of massive, technology-stretching battles, but co-writer Philippa Boyens promises that the final film in the Hobbit trilogy will be something we haven’t seen before. “Peter wanted a different flavor to this. It’s very shocking,” she says. “In Helm’s Deep, you get that almost unbearable tension of them waiting, but here it’s some real carnage.”
WHO’S HERE: The second installment didn’t make it to San Diego[‘s Comic-Con] last year, but this time around Hall H stands for Hobbit. Jackson is confirmed for the third film’s panel. “We’ve got some good stuff. I’m pretty excited,” says Boyens.
