Here’s a cute new interview with Breaking Dawn (Part II) actresses, Maggie Grace and Mia Maestro. When talking to The San Diego Union-Tribune about the upcoming film, they were asked the long-standing Twilight question: “what team are you on?” The actresses opted to give Lee Pace a shout out as their response:

Q: What team are you on: Edward or Jacob?
Grace: Well, we are actually cousins of the Cullen family, so we are sort of de facto Team Edward. But I’m also voting to start a new team — Team Garrett.
Maestro: We love Lee [Pace]! He is one of the new vampires, playing Garrett. He’s just a lot of fun to be around.

Q: So Garrett is taking over in Breaking Dawn (Part II)?
Grace: He’s like the vampiric rock star; the revolutionary war hero.
Maestro: I would be Team Joe Anderson, too, because Joe is pretty cute as well. Team Beard! All the scruffy, rock ‘n’ roll vampires.

A gorgeous but very, very short commercial for Golden Age has been released. There’s a second of Lee Pace – clean-shaven and looking quite dapper – taking a red rose and passing it on. There’s not much of him to screen cap, but I can still put some up in the gallery if anyone is interested. Reminder: Golden Age previews now begin on November 15th due to Hurricane Sandy.

Lincoln‘s official site has been updated just before its November 9th release in cinemas. Along with plenty of cast and crew information, they’ve added production notes, which you can download and/or view here. Lee Pace is mentioned, and he even talks about the inspiration behind playing a man such as Fernando Wood:

Another major voice in the House at that time was the inflammatory New York Congressman Fernando Wood, who was sympathetic to the Confederacy. Wood is brought to life by Lee Pace, next to be seen in Peter Jackson’s screen adaptation of The Hobbit. Pace says he took his inspiration for one of Lincoln’s noted nemeses not only from history but also very much from our times. “My idea going into playing the character was that he’s very much like our politicians today. He just wants to keep the fight going and spinning, ’cause as long as his name is in the paper, he’s relevant.”

If you weren’t excited about Lincoln based on previous trailers, maybe this one will change your attitude. The international version has been released, and it seems to focus more heavily on the film’s courtroom drama than previous looks — but it still has dynamism and an overall sense of clarity. Lee Pace is also featured pretty decently throughout the entire trailer, even getting a couple of lines. Lincoln is in limited release on Friday, November 9th, the day after its AFI Fest premiere; it will expand a week later on November 16th.

A Breaking Dawn (Part II) clip featuring Lee Pace – among many others in the heavy ensemble cast – has been released. (My apologies for not getting this up sooner!) At under one minute, it’s pretty brief, but Lee does get a line and a few shots during a scene that appears to be calling everyone to action. For those interested, there’s also a b-roll video for the film that’s been released, showing additional footage while filming the movie.

Here’s some quick news on the Breaking Dawn (Part II) front: Stephenie Meyer, author of The Twilight Saga and close consultant on the film adaptations, recently praised Lee Pace. At the recent press conference for the film, she noted that Lee “stood out” among the cast as being close to the character (Garrett) she originally envisioned. Check out an excerpt of the transcript featuring her kind words below:

Q: Now that you’ve seen all your characters, Stephenie, who do you think was closet on film as what you saw in your head?
Stephenie Meyer: I think Lee Pace stood out. He was so much fun. MyAnna was great as Tanya. There were a lot, they all did a great job of matching the descriptions

A new film still featuring Lee Pace in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln has been released. He’ll be playing Fernando Wood, the mayor of New York City. The image was posted on the film’s official Twitter with the caption “Lee Pace portrays Democratic representative Fernando Woods,” which isn’t much, but maybe we can hope he’ll be featured somewhat in future publicity.

Off-topic side-note: Golden Age – the upcoming play Lee will be starring in – started rehearsals this week! Hopefully we’ll also get some images out of that soon.

A new TV spot for Lincoln was shown after the 2012 USA Presidential Debates on various network channels, including CBS and ABC. Considering it’s just over two minutes long, I have a feeling it was shown as a one-time only deal, coinciding nicely with the political atmosphere the debate between Romney and President Obama created. The footage in this video is almost identical to the previously released trailer, though there’s another look at Lee Pace in his role as Fernando Wood. I actually think this is better than the trailer, so definitely check it out. Lincoln is out November 9th (limited) before expanding nationwide on November 16th.

At long last, the official – and final, promotional – poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part II) has been released. Of course, fans could anticipate the three leads in the one-sheet – including Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner – but it was quite a surprise to see Lee Pace on it as well. To the far left, you can see Lee in character as the American nomadic vampire, Garrett, trudging through the snow. Hopefully this means they’ve expanded his role in the film.
