Three new, HQ film stills from The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug have been added to the gallery. Two of the images feature Lee Pace as the Elvenking, Thranduil, looking quite menacing with his piercing eyes. The third film still is of his lair, and you can see (I believe) Thranduil standing next to Thorin, played by Richard Armitage. I’ve also added a behind the scenes photo of Lee alongside Evangeline Lilly (playing the only female lead in the film, Tauriel) and their director, Peter Jackson.
I’ve added numerous promotional posters for Lee Pace’s upcoming film, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, to the gallery. There are a couple of banner posters (including one very big one) featuring a good portion of the main cast. You can also find individual, character posters – like the one of Lee as Thranduil, pictured above – for Tauriel, Thorin, Legolas, Gandalf, Bilbo Baggins, and Bard the Bowman.
LPO has been pretty slow on updates for this particular movie. My apologies! I promise I’ll be catching up in the upcoming days, including lots of magazine scans and some film stills. Stay tuned.
There are several new character banners for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, which you can view in the gallery. Lee Pace fans will be happy to see that he was highlighted in a poster of his own, lounging as King Thranduil. Ian McKellen, Luke Evans, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lily, Richard Armitage, Martin Freeman, and a few dwarves are all featured as well. (Check out Evans’ Bard the Bowman banner for our first look at Stephen Fry in the film.)
Yesterday (July 20th), Lee Pace made a rare public appearance at San Diego Comic-Con! He was there as a surprise treat to those lucky fans who were sitting in Hall H for Marvel Studios, who had promised talks for Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. As part of his Guardians of the Galaxy cast – most of whom flew in from London just for the SDCC panel – they talked about the film (it’s “early days,” as production only started ten days ago) and even debuted some footage. Check out some pics of Lee and the cast in the gallery.
Alongside Karen Gillan of “Doctor Who” fame (who recently buzzed her hair off for her role as Nebula in Guardians), Lee was also interviewed on the Comic-Con red carpet. They talked of their roles and what to expect with the film, although they can’t give too much information away just yet. You can watch several videos by clicking below:
Lee Pace Odyssey has a brand new layout up, courtesy of the amazing Flor at Sweet Revelation! She also designed the previous layout, but I thought it was time for a change. This photograph was particularly striking to me, and I thought it’d make for a great header to LPO. (There are also matching gallery and press archive layouts.) I hope you like the darker, broodier look. Please let me know if you catch any errors.
Today, the first poster for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug was revealed! It’s actually a really beautiful graphic, so be sure to check out the hi-res version in the gallery. Along with the poster, the official Facebook for the film also broke the news that the teaser trailer for The Desolation of Smaug will be unveiled June 11th (at 10am PT/1pm ET). Hopefully we’ll get a great new look at Lee Pace’s Thranduil.
I’ve finally obtained and capped Lincoln, so LPO now hosts over 280 Blu-ray screen caps of Lee Pace as Fernando Wood. There are a lot of shots of the entire courthouse, so he might be hard to find sometimes — just look for his unmistakeable hair! The images are very, very high quality, so I hope you enjoy.

Once again, thanks to Screencapped.net, LPO has Blu-ray captures of Lee Pace — this time, from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. If you recall (for those who have seen it), Lee appeared as the Elvenking Thranduil for a very brief amount of time within the first ten minutes of the movie. We got to see his costume – complete with a crown of berries – as well as him riding an elk. There are only a few caps from his cameo, but they are gorgeous. Hope you enjoy.

LPO now has just under 250 screen caps from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part II), thanks entirely to Screencapped.net. (Check them out if you’re looking for caps, especially for TV shows as they provide fast, HQ updates. They’re amazing!) The Blu-ray images are large and crisp, featuring Lee Pace as the nomadic vampire Garrett in the Twilight franchise. Enjoy!
After finally obtaining Alexis Lloyd’s 30 Beats, I was able to make nearly 400 screen caps from the film. Like every actor from the experimental flick, Lee Pace has two different scenes — one with Paz de la Huerta and the second with French actress, Vahina Giocante. There’s (brief) nudity in a couple of the stills and otherwise some adult situations, so they should be considered NSFW.
