The Resident‘s official website has uploaded more stills from the film. There are numerous on their site if you want to check them out, but a handful featuring Lee have been added to the gallery. Enjoy!

SXSW has announced their film line-up for the 2011 festival, happening March 11-20 in Austin, TX. Among the movies selected is Ceremony, Max Winkler’s major directorial debut featuring Lee Pace (alongside Uma Thurman and Michael Angarano). There’s no word yet as to whether or not Lee will actually be there. You can register to attend the event here.
It’s already been reported that Ceremony would see a TV On Demand release, but it looks as if The Resident will be getting the same treatment. According to Business Wire, the Hammer Films thriller will be available for DIRECTV subscribers to watch at home on February 18th; this is also the rumored limited theatrical release date. Remember, The Resident will be available on DVD/Blu-ray, in the US, March 29th. (Caution: there are spoilers in the comments.)
DVD Active has just released some information regarding the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray release of The Resident. As we know, it’s coming out on March 29th. Additional details include the price – the DVD will be $27.97, while the Blu-ray is a scant two dollars more – and cover art. A trade advertisement for the film has also been released, which features a new still of Lee Pace. (It’s also nice seeing his name under “2X Golden Globe Nominee”!)
The Resident might be seeing a DVD/Blu-ray release in the US in late March but, according to Bloody Disgusting, American audiences may be able to see it a bit sooner. Reportedly Image Entertainment has announced that the new Hammer thriller will see a limited theatrical run, starting February 17. The Resident stars Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Christopher Lee, and our very own Lee Pace.
My apologies that this wasn’t posted sooner, as I thought it was the same trailer as the one released last year! Hammer and Image Entertainment have released a new, longer trailer for The Resident. Even better news: Lee Pace is featured quite a bit in this one. The film will see a UK theatrical release on March 11, and a US direct-to-DVD/Blu-ray release on March 29, 2011. You can pre-order from Amazon here.
I’ve added a few new pictures of Lee Pace from an older photo shoot. I believe the images came from a press junket, although I’m not entirely sure. A couple of film stills for The Resident and The Fall have also been added; check out the gallery.
Two videos briefly featuring Lee have been uploaded to the Video Archive, one of Lee and Kristin Chenoweth together at the Emmy Awards ’08 and another of Lee in Monte Carlo.
According to Shock Till You Drop, Image Entertainment has announced that The Resident – featuring Lee Pace along with Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Christopher Lee – will be seeing a DVD/Blu-ray release on March 29, 2011. This goes against the previously announcement that the film would see a theatrical release in spring of ’11. Special features for the home movie release have not yet been determined.
DreadCentral.com debuted the call-sheet for Lee Pace’s upcoming thriller, The Resident, produced by Hammer Studios. Unfortunately, Lee isn’t on the poster, but it’s nice to see that his film is finally heading towards your local cineplex. IAmRogue.com also mentioned that the film has an intended release date of March 11, 2011; however, I have not been able to locate this information elsewhere. For more information on The Resident, check out Hammer Films.
Although news of The Miraculous Year not getting a pick-up by HBO is an upset, there is some good news on the horizon: The Resident – starring Hilary Swank, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Christopher Lee, and our very own Lee Pace – has acquired U.S. distribution! According to Variety, Image Entertainment will be releasing the newest Hammer Films project in the spring of 2011.
I’ve done an exhaustive amount of additions in the gallery, including film stills (many of which are HQ) to the following: Ceremony, The Fall, Infamous, Marmaduke, Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day, Possession, The Resident, and The White Countess. In coming days, I’ll be adding screen caps for at least Miss Pettigrew and Soldier’s Girl, including the DVD extras.
Less exhaustive, but I’ve also updated the public appearances galleries. Included in this update are the following: ‘Promises, Promises’ Opening Night (04/25/10) featuring Kristin Chenoweth and the Pushing Daisies cast/crew, ‘Red’ Opening Night (04/01/10), and his appearance at a Parisian Calvin Klein Party (07/06/09) with 30 Beats costar Vahina Giocante.
Along with the aforementioned screen caps to be added, I also hope to have photo shoots and photos from his theatrical performances uploaded soon. Sit tight!
